Ubuntu: book contribution

Sir Nelson Mandela devoted 67 years of his life to international human rights. In honor of his birthday, on 18 July 2020, we are part of the online book launch “Ubuntu, we are the Earth” with 67 stories of remarkable change makers.

Jeanine is invited to add one contribution about Dona Darehshoori and Laila Tara Schumann. Two special women who, through the pay-it-forward principle of the Che Amigo foundation, contributed to personal leadership and community building in refugee camps on Lesbos. During the launch we will facilitate a mini Indaba (Ubuntu dialogue from group wisdom) about this.

The money raised will go entirely to the Ubuntu Netherlands Foundation and thus to sustainable school projects of the Amy (Biehl) Foundation in South Africa.

You can be at this event with live contributions from Christo Brand (who has been Mandela's guard for 12.5 years), Princess Irene, kora player Jalli Lamin Kuyateh and singer Mugisha Abdhul. Register free of charge for the Mandela Day 2020 (Saturday, 10:15 am - 12:00 pm) via this link.
